Anthony Wreford joins RE Capital as Non-Executive Chairman
RE Capital are delighted to welcome Anthony Wreford to the Board, who will take up his position as Non-Executive Chairman effective 10/02/2022.
An Oxford graduate, Anthony brings RE Capital a diverse portfolio of skills and experience. His early career began in advertising, where he built his own marketing and communications agency, McAvoy Wreford. After the sale of his agency, Anthony began advising Omnicom (the US listed advertising and marketing holding company). He then became the CEO of its largest division and later a Deputy Chairman for the group.
During the last 10 years, he has built a portfolio of interests ranging from the British Airways Advisory Board to the Chair of several marketing businesses. His current portfolio includes Stonehage Fleming, FPE Capital, and Portas consulting. He chairs a group of the leading asset managers who meet regularly to discuss the macro issues affecting the industry. He was also an organiser and Trustee for Her Majesty the Queen’s 90th birthday celebrations.
A keen sports fan, Anthony has been President of Marylebone Cricket Club and Chairman of the Professional Cricketers’ Association. He is also currently an advisor to the European Tour (golf).
